Dramaine Jones

Regional Operations Manager

Mr. Dramaine Jones has been serving as the Acting Regional Operations Manager for WPM Waste Management Limited since November 2021. In this position, he oversees the garbage collection and disposal operations for the agency.  As the Acting Regional Operations Manager, Mr. Jones uses his problem-solving skills to effect change while motivating his staff.

Prior to being the Acting Regional Operations Manager, he served as an Engineer at the National Solid Waste Management (NSWMA) for approximately 3 years.  Mr. Jones is a proud graduate of the Munro College in St Elizabeth, after which he attained his first degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Technology, Jamaica, then a Post-graduate degree in Project Management at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at Suzhou University in China. Mr Jones has spent over twelve years working in Project Management, Community Development and Social Work.

Regional Administrator

Miss Karen N. Clayton is a Human Resources Professional with 22 years of comprehensive
experience in Recruitment, Employee Retention, Conflict Resolution, Labour Relations, and Benefits Administration.
She joined WPM Waste Management Limited in May 2010 as Regional Administrator with responsibilities for Procurement, Administration, Property Management and Security Services. She currently sits on the National Solid Waste Management Authority Board Risk Management and Disciplinary Hearing Committees and she chairs the Regional Accident Review Committee.

Prior to working at WPM Waste Management Limited, she held several positions in the Human Resources field at Sunset Beach Resort and Spa Hotel.
Miss Clayton has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Monroe College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of the West Indies, Mona School of Business and Management.

 

 

Shereika Thompson

Accountant

 

Miss Thompson is the Accountant for WPM Waste Management Limited. She oversees a team of Accounting Clerks and manages the finances of the agency. She has a wealth of knowledge and in accounting with over fifteen (15) years’ experience, having worked at Barnett Limited Group of Companies and Everready Waste Management.

 She holds an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certification up to level 11 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree majoring in Finance at the University of Technology.

 Miss. Thompson is assertive, dedicated, and hard-working.  Her philosophy is ‘The end crowns the work.’

Gregory Brissitt

Landfill Manager

Mr. Gregory Brissitt serves as the Landfill Manager for WPM Waste Management Limited. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Retirement Disposal Site. Mr. Brissitt aspires to assist in the modernization of waste collection and management for a better future in this sector.

He is a diligent worker who is eager to learn is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure a job is completed effectively and efficiently. Throughout his professional life, he has accumulated experience in Customer Service, Construction, Security, Auto Mechanic, and Maintenance. Mr. Brissitt believes in ‘working smarter, not harder but also working to get the job done.’

Mark Jones

Mark Jones

Public Cleansing Manager

Mark Jones has been serving as the Public Cleansing Manager for WPM Waste Management Limited since November 2018. In this position Mr. Jones supervises and coordinates the activities of the sanitation officers engaged in collecting solid waste and other refuse as well as those transporting refuse to the Retirement Disposal Site. He approves and at times assigns the routes of the trucks on a daily basis.

Prior to being Public Cleansing Manager, Mr. Jones worked as the Public Cleansing Inspector for Western Westmoreland ie Negril and its environs. He is an entrepreneur at heart having been the owner of West Valley Enterprise from 2012 to 2017. He is also a past student of the University College of the Caribbean in Montego Bay, Munro College in Bronx, New York, and Manning’s School in Westmoreland.

Daily, Mr Jones aim to provide the highest quality service to his team and the customers he serves in a professional manner. This is to ensure that the beauty and cleanliness in the West is maintained.

Lloyd Young

Garage Manager

Mr Lloyd Young is WPM’s Garage Manager. He has been in this position from 2017 where he leads a team of mechanics. Mr Young has the responsibility of planning, organizing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the garage. This is done mainly by writing work orders and arranging for garage staff to perform necessary maintenance and repair work on the garbage collection units.

Mr Young ensures that all the necessary spare parts, materials and equipment are available or obtainable at short notice. He checks the activities within the garage, inspects completed work for compliance with safety and other statutory regulations, and makes sure defects are repaired or adjusted in a timely manner.

Mr Young is a past student of Knox College in Clarendon and Bronx Community College in New York.  He has previously worked in the capacity of Public Cleansing Manager and has been a successful entrepreneur for most of his life. Mr Young strongly believes that “the character of a man is not judged by the amount of wealth he acquires but by how he treats someone who can do nothing for him.”

Cleopatra Holmes

Commercial Monitor

Cleopatra  Frater-Holmes is WPM Waste Management Limited’s Commercial Monitor. She leads a team for four commercial assistants and together they monitor all business operators’ waste disposal practices within the Western Region. Mrs Holmes also spearheads public education activities in respect to commercial entities to ensure  that they are compliant and ofay with the NSWMA Act 2001. She also directs and oversees sales policies, objectives and initiatives. She sets short and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs. She also recommends service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

Mrs Holmes is identified as a dedicated team player who works effectively with others in an atmosphere of respect. She takes pride in providing frontline customer service while motivating her team to achieve the company’s goals.

 

 

Sharnon Williams

Sharnon Williams

Customer Relations Officer

Sharnon Williams is the Customer Relations Officer responsible for handling complaints, events management, social media and public relations. A former media practitioner, she has held several positions across the Jamaican media landscape, ranging from writer, reporter, producer and advertising sales executive. She brings to WPM a vast knowledge in communications, coupled with experience as a manager having worked in Management at Sandals Resorts in Jamaica.

Sharnon is leading WPM’s charge to make solid waste separation, a part of Western Jamaica’s way of life, by, among other things, introducing community projects and public education campaigns. 

Sharnon is a proud holder of an MBA in International Business Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication. Presently she is pursuing a Masters degree in Digital Media and E-commerce. She has also done certificate courses in Project Management and Customer Service and recently studied Marine Waste with JICA in Japan. 

Nickoy Medley

Investigator

“I am given a chance to effect change in how Jamaicans approach waste management. In so doing, I am helping the sustainability of our socioeconomic activities and reducing adverse impacts of anthropogenic activities.”

Mr. Nickoy Medley was recently promoted to Investigator for WPM Waste Management Limited. He now leads the Enforcement department in detecting and prosecuting persons who dispose of solid waste in contravention of the NSWMA Act 2001. 

Before becoming an Investigator, Mr Medley worked as an Assistant Commercial Monitor for approximately four (4) years. He is a proud graduate of Cornwall College and a holder of an Associate degree in Environmental Science from the Montego Bay Community College. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Technology.

Mr Medley has worked in the Hospitality and BPO sectors. His philosophy is ‘the harder you work, the luckier you become.’
