If you need help, we have a list of frequently asked questions and answers.

Do you collect plastic bottles?

Yes we do. Please call us to make arrangements.

Do you clean garbage from drains?

No that is the responsibility of your Municipal Corporation.

Are you responsible for sewage?

No, that is the responsibility of the National Water Commission.

Do you collect old appliances?

Yes we do. However it is done periodically and residents are often informed prior by way of the media when collection will be done.

Do you collect grass cuttings?

A maximum of two (2) bags of garden cuttings will be collected per household per collection day depending on the amount of household waste that is in the community. NB. Priority is given to the collection of household waste.

Can the men enter my yard and clean my waste?

No. Solid waste must be placed outside of your property and must be easily accessible to the sanitation officers.

If dogs rip my solid waste apart, are the men mandated to clean it up for me?

Residents are encouraged to secure their solid waste until collection. Use receptacles that cannot be easily accessed by strays.

Do you place stray animals in pounds?

No. That is the responsibility of your Municipal Corporation.

Can you collect dead animals from my home?

Residents with pets and farm animals should make arrangements for their burial when they die. We only collect dead animals from the main thoroughfare.
